NiLs KePPEL

... is a figurehead of the Neue Neue Deutsche Welle (New New German Wave).

The post-punk singer-songwriter celebrated his first notable achievements
with singles like „222“ (2022) and „Wellblech“ (2023).

In late 2025, he performed at the legendary Parisian indie club „Supersonic“
which inspired the title of his debut album.

„Super Sonic Youth“ was released in early 2026 and garnered significant attention in the German press. This was followed in March by his first headline tour through Germany, which also included several shows in other European countries.

Nils continues to produce his songs independently without a record label in order to fully maintain his artistic freedom. And he is just getting started…

A blend of post-punk with noticeable influences of pop, noise-pop, and shoegaze - that is how Nils would describe his own musical style. His distinctive, often dark and melancholic baritone vocals combined with very energetic live shows captivate a loyal, rapidly growing crowd of young fans.
The lyrics move between youthful hedonism, apocalyptic vibes & fractured romance and resonate deeply within his fanbase.

„An album bursting with weltschmerz, sweeping us up into a rebellious outburst between intoxication
and the longing for mindless freedom.“

Picky Magazine, 2026

„This record is a much-needed wild wind in the wasteland of mundane German music.“
Tagesspiegel, 2026

For his cover art and tour posters, Nils deliberately breaks away from heteronormative gender roles, actively advocating for equality, freedom, and queer visibility in his adopted home of Leipzig.
The “Supersonic Youth” Tour was managed by KKT, who also manage the band tours of “Die Ärtze”, “Die Toten Hosen” and “Tocotronic”, among others. Nils performed in sold-out venues in over 13 cities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
